Maritime Silk Road

Maritime Silk Road is one the most important business route in the history to exchange goods between east and west. It started from port cities in southern China including Guangzhou, Quanzhou etc. There are records about the famous Zhenhe who had sailed seven times to different countries from China in Ming Dynasty from 1405 to 1433 AD. However, China started to close the door after Zhenhe, so China was separated from the world since then, and reopened by the foreign army in the later Qing Dynasty at the end of 19th century.
