Beihai Park


Beijing is the capital of P.R.China, there are various relics and parks used to be the royal belongings, of which, Beihai Park is the one near the Forbidden City with beatiful lake and hill view.

Beihai Park used to be the royal garden during Ming and Qing Dynasty, and opened as public park in 1925. There are pavilions, lake, hills, houses temples, carving etc in the park which are well-preserved. The well-known White Pagoda was built on the Wansui Hill in 1651, which is a Tibetan Buddhism stupa as the token of Beihai park. Moreover, the Nine Dragon Wall in the park with nine dragons carved on the huge wall in details.

It is very nice to take a boat on the lake to enjoy the landscape of Beihai park. There are few travelers in the park than Forbidden City, but it is really worth visiting while travelling to China for your Beijing tours.

Entrance fee is CNY10.
