Southern China History Tour 11D: Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuzhen

Welcome to Shanghai, the most metropolis of China! Upon arrival, you'll be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. The rest of today is at your leisure.

City explore in Shanghai today with a local guide, you will visit the Bund that is riverfront of the Huangpu River, Yu Garden that is an old pretty garden, Xintiandi that is former French Colony, and Jade Buddha Temple etc. 

Today you will take 1.5-hour car ride to Suzhou, which is a historical city with lots of gardens. You will visit two well-known gardens, the Net& Master Garden and Humble Administrator's Garden, then take a boat on the Grand Canal, visit the Silk Museum, and wander around the Shantang Street etc.

Today you will visit Tongli Water Town in Suzhou in the morning, which is a World Heritage attraction to display the elegant garden and architectures.

Then you will have free afternoon to explore in Suzhou.

After hotel breakfast, you will take 3-hour car ride to Nanjing. Visit old city wall in Nanjing, which was built in Ming Dynasty about 1400 year ago. Then you will visit The Memorial Hall of The Victims In Nanjing Massacre By Japanese Invaders in the afternoon.

Note: The Memorial Hall is closed on Monday. It will be closed sometimes due to public memorial arrangement, and we will arrange you to visit Chaotian Palace that is also Nanjing City Museum instead of.

In the evening, you will wander around at Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) area , which is very popular attraction in Nanjing for the  Qinhuai River scenery.

After hotel breakfast, you will head to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum where you can learn the modern Chinese history about Dr. Sun Yat-sen.

Then you will move to Xiaoling Mausoleum, which is a World Heritage attraction for the first emperor in Ming Dynasty. The huge statues in Xiaoling is very impressive.

In the morning, visit the fabulous temple in Niushou Mount, which has a modern but amazing building to store the holy relics.

Then, you will take 3.5-hour car ride for 280km to Hangzhou. Upon arrival, you will check in the hotel.

Today you will visit the well-known West Lake, and Lingyin Temple with your local guide to learn the story about the white snake legendary.

Later, you will go to the Longjing Tea Plantation to learn the tea culture this afternoon.

After hotel breakfast, you will take one-hour car ride to Wuzhen Water Town. There are many water towns in the Southern China, and Wuzhen is one of the most reknowed towns. There are east and west part in the Wuzhen, it is better to stay one night in the west part of the twon to enjoy the night view.

Enjoy the free time in the morning. After lunch, you will take 1.5 hour car ride ack to Shanghai.

Today is departure day, you will be transferred to Shanghai Airport to catch your flight back home, where the wonderful tour concludes.
