Xinjiang Yili(Ili) 7-Day Tour: Urumqi, Sayram Lake, Yining, Karajun, Narati

Welcome to Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China. Upon arrival Urumqi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy your free time to explore.

Today, you will take a car-ride from Urumqi to Syram Lake on the express highway. Visit Sayram Lake this afternoon for about 3 hours, then contine driving to Yining city via Guozigou Bridge.

Yining is a historical city where you can taste the traditional Uyghur food, and drink some Russian beer.

After hotel breakfast, you will head for the Karajun Grassland. There are two main parts to visit here including Kukesu Grand Canyon and East & West Karajun Grassland. It takes about a full day to visit.

Later, you will be transferred to Tekes county which was constructed like Eight Diagrams about 600 years ago. Still the city is well-preserved its original designing.

After hotel breakfast, you will head to Narati Grassland, which is well-known for its high-mountain grassland. Explore the grassland and view the Kazak yurts.

Today you will stay in Narati town.

Today you will go to the Tangbula Grassland from Narati by car. Upon arrival, you can explore the picturesque grassland hidden in the Tianshan Mountains. 

Tonight you will stay in a hotel in Tangbula Town.

Today you will take a car ride on the Duku mountain highway through Tianshan Mountains. Note Duku highway is normallly open from early June to early October due to its height, and sometimes it is easily blocked by flood or landslide. 

Later, you will arrive in Urumqi. If time permits, you can visit Erdaoqiao Grand Bazaar.

Today you will depart from Urumqi. You will be transferred to Urumqi airport to catch your flight, where the wonderful tour concludes.
