Old Town of Dali is a small town in Yunnan Province in China. As a historic town located between Canshan Mountain to the west and Erhai Lake to the east, its history can be tracked back to the year 1382 at the time of the Ming Dynasty.
The old town has preserved well the tradtional houses and famous for the culture of the Bai ethnic group.
Moreover, the city wall of Dali is well-constructed and preserved, nearly four miles long, 25 feet high and 20 feet thick, with four main city gate towers.
