This tour will bring you fresh air and the endless green grasslands of the best preserved prairie in China. And you will try overnight in yult, like local Mongolians. To visit the last hunting tribe in China, and to see the biggest mastryoshka doll in the world.
Note: This tour starts and ends in Hailar(Hulun Buir) not in Beijing.
Welcome to Hailar. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative at the airport. Then transfer to hotel. You are at your leisure to explore the Hailar District of Hulunbuir if time permits.
To visit Xishan National Park after breakfast. It is the only park in China themed on Mongolian scotch pine, very unique. Then visit the Mongolian tribe resort at Hulun Buir grassland. Then you will be welcomed by a tradtional drinking ceremony when you arrive. Horse riding is available if you want to try (option). Then walk to "the China's first river bend" Morigele River, to view the beautiful scenery with the snaky river.
Enjoy the beautiful grassland sunrise. After breakfast, drive to Ergunna to see the First Wetland and Birds Nature Reserve in Asia. Then to visit Aoluguya Ewenke National Township, the last hunting tribe in China, and the hometown of reindeer and birch bark culture in China, too. It is also the birthplace of Chinese Santa Claus.
To visit the deep old - growth forest of Great Khingan Mountains. To explore the largest, the most complete ecological diversity national park in China - Moerdaoga. It literally means that "set out for flight riding your horses". Then go to an old town Shiwei. It is now a lively border town abutting Russia inhabited mostly by the Chinese-Russian descendants. Shiwei used to be a cradle of multi-ethnic groups including Mongols. It is a beautiful town and listed as one of top ten most beautiful townships in China. The town and its surrounding villages feature the Russian style in terms of architectures and living habits.
To visit Hulun Lake, which is the fifth largest freshwater lake in China, and the most famous and beautiful lake in inner Mongolia. It is also on the List of Ramsar Wetlands of International Importance since 2002. You will taste delicious local fish feast at lunch. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Mastryoshka Doll Square, which comprises the characteristics and features from the three bordering countries - China, Russia and Mongolia. There's the biggest mastryoshka doll in the world.
Today you will visit Zhalanaor Museum, which is the biggest museum in Hulunbuir. You'll get some knowledge about the Hunlunbuir Mongolian culture and history. Then head to the Mammoth Park, the hometown of mammoth. Afterwards, get back to Hailar or transfer to Manzhouli airport where the wonderful tour conclude.
