Gorgeous China 15D: Shanghai, Wangxiangu, Jingdezhen, Huangshan, Shenxianju etc.

Welcome to Shanghai, the most metropolis of China! Upon arrival, you'll be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. The rest of today is at your leisure.

City explore in Shanghai today with a local guide, you will visit the Bund that is riverfront of the Huangpu River, Yu Garden that is an old pretty garden, Xintiandi that is former French Colony, and Jade Buddha Temple etc. 

Today you will be picked up from your centrally located Shanghai hotel, and transferred to airport to take 2-hour flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, you will check in hotel in Wulingyuan Scenic Area, often referred to as Zhangjiajie. Time permits, you will visit some parts of the Wulingyuan area with your guide. 

Note: The pickup time will be informed as per the flight time, which will be sent to you after you booked the tour as the flight schedule changes from time to time.

Today you will head to Zhangjiajie National Park where you will overlook the wonderful views by super elevator. The elevator takes 1.58 seconds to transport tourists from the bottom to the Yuanjiajie top exhibiting unbelievable and fantastic views. Enjoy the heaven and earth pillar unpredictable prototype mountain of the movie AVATAR directed by Jame Cameron on the Summit Sightseeing Platform. 

Afterwards you will move to visit Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve that offers a perfect location to have a panoramic picture. Known as 'the Monarch of the Peak Forest', Tianzi Mountain has four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, the Rays of Sunshine and the Snow in winter. Later you will head to Shilihualang (10-Mile-Gallery) to explore. (One way by electric train; other way on foot for about 30 Minutes.)

Head to Tianmen Mountain, then walk along the road leading to Gateway of Heaven. The glass walkway makes it so distinctive. You will take Tianmen Mountain Cableway to explore Tongtian Avenue (a way to Heaven), Tianmen Cave (Heaven Gateway), Tianmen Temple, Tianmen glass walkway, Ghost-valley plank road, and Yunmeng Fairy Summit. You will take a small cable to the main cable, then take the world's longest cableway, with a length of 7455 meters and elevation of 1518 meters to go down.

­ (The round-way of the main cable and upper way for the small cable are included. If you take round-way small cable car, you will miss some sights.)

Today you will take 6-hour fast train ride from Zhangjiajie to Shangrao, then take about 1-hour car ride to Wangxiangu. Explore the wonderful place this afternoon.

Wangxaingu or Wangxian Valley is located in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, China. Wangxian, means Gazing at Immortals in Chinese, can track back its history as early as the Eastern Han Dynasty (25AD-220AD) . It is famous for its cliff-side hanging houses, and the lights from the houses in the evening. There are waterfalls, river, pool, temple, old houses, and workshops etc. in the valley, which are interesting to explore.

Note: Due to the limited hotels in the valley, it is highly recommended to book the tour earlier, otherwise we will arrange to stay overnight near the valley when the hotels are fully booked. 

Today you will take about 1.5-hour car ride from Wangxiangu to Mt Sanqing, which is a well-known Taosim mountain. There are three peaks Yujing, Yuhua, and Yuxu peaks, which look like three gods Yuqing, Shangqing and Taiqing in the Taoism, hence it has got the name Sanqing Mountain in Chinese. The amazing rocks in the mountains are very attractive for travelers to come here.

Later, you will take 1.5-hour car ride to Wuyuan where you will check in the hotel.

Visit the pretty old villages in Wuyuan including Likeng Village and Huangling Village. 

Likeng is an old village with a history over 1000 years, and still there are well-preserved traditional houses, bridges, old trees in the living village. As the representative of Anhun architecture, you will view the white wall and black tiles houses here.

Then you will head to Huangling Village which is an old village with a history about 500 years. The entire village is built on the hill, the old houses are spreading layer by layer on the hills. It is wonderful to take a cable car to have a bird view of the village. In autumn, local farmers will put the veggies in the huge bamboo container to dry them under the sun. 

Then you will take 1.5- hour car ride to Jingdezhen.

Today you will visit the ceramic city, Jingdezhen, which is one the 4 famous traditional ceramic town in China. There are millions of ceramics that were made here. You will wander around the Sanbao Village to learn how to make ceramic vessels, and visit the ceramic museum.

After hotel breakfast, you will take 3-hour car ride to Mt Huangshan entrance, where you will take cable car uphill. 

Then you will start hiking on the Huangshang Mountain to view the rocks, peaks, pines etc.

Later, you will walk to the hotel to check in.

You can get up early to view the sun rising if the weather is good. Afterwards, you will hike around the Mt Huangshan. You guide will offer you the map and take you to hike around enjoying the mountain views with pines, fog and rocks that are the popular sceneries in the Mt. Huangshan. 

Later, hike downhill to catch the cable car to the exit.

Then you will be transferred to Hongcun village. The village has well-preserved traditional local architectural buildings, bridges, pool etc. that look particularly beautiful at night.

After hotel breakfast, you will explore the Hongcun Village to learn the history and architecture about Anhui Style with your local guide. 

Then you will head to Xidi Village. Both Xidi and Hongcun villages are the world cultural heritages with different styles.

Later, you will catch 5-hour car ride to Shenxianju, where you will check in the hotel.

Today you will visit the gorgeous Shenxianju. The Shenxianju is renowned for its volcanic rhyolite landform cluster. Located in Baita Town, Xianju County, Zhejiang Province, China, Shenxianju is amazing for the mountains, rocks, water, cliff, and tress etc.

Ruyi Bridge is a bending glass-bottomed structure in Shenxinaju to span between eastern and western canyon over 600m above the ground. It is fun to walk over the bridge to view the landscape of mountains.

After sightseeing, you will take 3-hour car ride to Hangzhou where you will check in the hotel.

Today you will walk along the pretty West Lake in Hangzhou, then you will visit the Lingyin Temple that is a renowned Buddhism Temple in China. 

Later, you will catch a bullet train or take car ride to Shanghai from Hangzhou. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Today is departure day, you will be transferred to Shanghai Airport to catch your flight back home, where the wonderful tour concludes.
