Sichuan Province is well-known for the cute pandas, yummy food, stunning Jiuzhaigou in China. This 10-day Sichuan discovery tour will let you explore Chengdu, Panda Base, Jiuzhaigou, Jianmen Fort, Langzhong, Leshan Giant Buddha, and Mt Emei with a local guide.
Welcome to Chengdu. Upon arrival, met and transferred to Chengdu hotel. Enjoy the free time to explore the rest of the day if you arrive early.
At 8:00am, you will be picked up from your centrally located Chengdu hotel lobby, then head to Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base. It is better to view the active pandas in the morning while feeding time.
Afterwards, you will visit Kuan and Zhai Alleys to learn the history and culture about Chengdu.
Later, you will be transferred back to your Chengdu hotel about 5pm where the tour concludes.
8am, pick up from your centrally located Chengdu hotel, then drive 7 hours to Huanglong.
Sightseeing in Huanglong to view the imposing water and mountains with a local guide.
Later, transferred to the hotel near Jiuzhaigou.
Today you will enjoy the full day explore in the Jiuzhaigou Reserve by sightseeing bus. You will view the key parts of the reserve including the well-known Wolong Lake, Shuzheng Lake, Shuzheng Waterfall, Tiger Lake, Xiniu Lake, Nuorilang Lake, and Long Lake etc.
After breakfast, you will take a 5-hour car ride to Jianmen Fort, which is one of the well-known fortress since ancient time in China. The well-preserved fort is very impressive on the mountains. The ancient path on the mountains displays its history thousand years ago. It is a nice place to view the mountains and learn the history.
Today you will take 2-hour car ride to Langzhong Old Town. This is one of the four old towns in China with a history over 2000 years, and it is well-preserved for the layout, old houses, and temples etc.
Continue explore the temple, studio, garden, and taste local food etc in the old town of Langzhong today. Or wander around to discover interesting things.
Take 4-hour car ride to Leshan where you will visit to the impressive Leshan Giant Buddha. Completed in 803 AD, during the Tang Dynasty, it stands 233 feet (71 meters) tall, and even its fingernails are as long as a human being! The largest surviving ancient Buddha, it forms part of the Mount Emei Scenic Area UNESCO World Heritage Site, and sits at the confluence of the Min, Dadu, and Qingyi rivers.
After you've scaled the steps to admire the Buddha or take a boat to view the Buddha statue, head to Emeishan to check in the hotel.
Full day explore the Mount Emei. Your local guide will give you some suggestions to choose a better route for you to visit the famous mountain.
Today you will be transferred 2 hours by car to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to catch your flight to next destination, where the wonderful Sichuan tour concludes.
