Transport in Tibet is much better now. There are many daily flights to Lhasa from inland China cities. The railway from Xining to Lhasa began to run since 2006, and it becomes very popular for tourists to take the train to view the plateau scenery.
There are buses from Lhasa to every corner of Tibet, it is cheap and reliable.
